About Here for the Experience

A place for me to explore things on my mind beyond the 2,200 Instagram character limit. Topics will include yoga, spirituality, meditation, philosophy, love, and whatever else feels relevant to my heart.

About me

I’m a queer non-binary New Orleans native who is passionate about yoga as a holistic practice that integrates the physical practice on the mat with the philosophical and spiritual practices of yoga off the mat. I first learned about yoga in a ‘Philosophy of Mind’ college class at UNO in 2006 and immediately resonated with the teachings. At that time I began a meditation and yoga-asana (movement) practice at home. From there I discovered a local sangha, where I deepened their meditation practice and began learning the dharma within a supportive community. It wasn’t until 2016 that I started practicing asana in yoga studio settings. Since taking my first yoga teacher training in 2019, I have continued studying yoga by taking additional trainings on accessible yoga teachings, the intersection of social justice and yoga, and Indian philosophy.
